First things first—secure your athlete’s spot by booking either the MVP Session or the All-Star Session. The MVP Session offers an exclusive, personalized 30-minute experience with two uniforms, unlimited poses, and enhanced retouching. The All-Star Session, which is included at no cost, features two photographer-selected poses and one uniform.
Once you’ve booked, make sure to complete the Model & Appearance Release form that will be sent to you. Don’t worry—it takes just 30 seconds to complete!

Punctuality is key! Make sure your athlete arrives at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled session. This allows time for check-in and ensures they are fully prepared and relaxed before their session starts. Arriving early helps keep the day running smoothly and ensures everyone has a great experience.

Now for the fun part—reviewing and ordering your athlete’s photos! The ordering process is super easy. Once the photos are ready, you’ll receive a link to your private gallery where you can browse and make your selections. Please note—you’ll have three weeks to place your order, so make sure to order within that time frame!

sit back & relax!
Once your order is placed, there’s nothing left to do but sit back and relax! Two weeks after the gallery closes, your photos will be delivered directly to your student at school via our white-glove delivery service. We ensure your portraits arrive in perfect condition, ready for you to enjoy!

No, mdX is available for more than just schools! We proudly offer mdX to youth organizations, leagues, clubs, and any group looking for professional, high-quality portraits. Whether it’s for a school team, a dance studio, a city rec league, or an independent organization, mdX provides a stress-free media day experience for all athletes.
Is there any charge to my school or organization for mdX?
No, there is no charge to your school or organization for mdX. We offer the mdX media day experience at no cost to teams or organizations with at least 10 athletes. In fact, by booking mdX, your school or organization can even earn money through our SM Cares Give Back Program.
Do I have to have a scheduled session?
Yes, all athletes must have a scheduled session to ensure a smooth, organized experience at mdX. By reserving a time slot, we can avoid long waits and ensure each athlete gets the attention they deserve during their session. Scheduling also helps keep the day running on time, making the process easier for everyone involved
Do I have to purchase the MVP Session? I just want my child's photos taken.
No, you do not have to purchase the MVP Session. We offer the All-Star Session, which is included at no cost and provides your child with two great poses selected by the photographer. The MVP Session is an optional upgrade for parents who want a more personalized experience with extra features, but it’s not required for your athlete’s photo to be taken.
Am I under obligation to purchase anything?
Absolutely not! We offer the All-Star Session at no cost, which includes two poses. You can view your athlete’s photos in the online gallery before deciding if you’d like to make any purchases. Even after seeing the photos, there’s no requirement to buy. However, purchasing does more than give you beautiful, lifelong memories of your athlete—it also helps support your team, as a portion of the proceeds goes directly back to the program. It’s a meaningful way to capture special moments while giving back to your child’s team.
What should my athlete wear for their photo?
First, be sure to meet any requirements set forth by your coach or director. Athletes should wear their full uniform, and for MVP Sessions, they can bring a second uniform if desired. Be sure to wear the same shoes you would wear during a game. Of course, feel free to bring any accessories that help make your picture unique.
What's the difference between the All-Star and the MVP session?
The All-Star Session is included at no cost and features two poses selected by the photographer. The MVP Session is an upgraded, personalized experience that includes more session time, unlimited poses, enhanced retouching, and the option to preview photos in real-time with Instant Replay.

Where's the order form? How do I order my photos?
We’ve made ordering super easy with our all-digital process—no paper order forms needed! Once your athlete’s photos are ready, you’ll receive a link to a private online gallery where you can view and select your favorite images. From there, you can place your order directly through the gallery, choosing from a variety of packages and specialty products. It’s fast, convenient, and all done from the comfort of your own home! Visit the link ahead of time and register and you will receive text notifications the moment the gallery is ready!
Why can't I just buy the digitals?
At Sideline Media, we believe that portraits are meant to be printed and cherished, not just stored on a small screen. While we do offer social media-sized downloads in some of our packages for easy online sharing, we don’t offer full-resolution digital downloads. The reason is simple—we’re committed to delivering only the best. The printers we work with take great care in producing the highest quality prints, hand-retouching every image to ensure the colors, details, and overall quality are flawless.
